Owner/operators Liz and Jerry G. Bishop feature indoor and outdoor waters-edge dining on authentic Grecian specialties all prepared on the premises - crispy Gyros, flame broiled Souvlaki (shish kabob), Lemony chicken, fabulous Greek salads, Dolamdes (stuffed grape leaves), Spanikopita (spinach/cheese pie), Saganaki (a spectacular flaming cheese appetizer), homemade pastries including the "worlds best baklava", rich Greek coffee, a wide selection of Greek and California wines and beers.
The Greek Islands Cafe been voted "Best of the Best" by the San Diego Union, and has won many other awards.
